Next-generation nets and genomic surveillance at ASTMH 2024
In New Orleans, a first-author poster on the efficacy of next-generation nets in M'bé, central Côte d'Ivoire, and a presentation on the genomic surveillance of Anopheles gambiae s.l.

On 14 November 2024, PAMCA (Pan-African Mosquito Control Association), with MalariaGEN at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, hosted a symposium on malaria vector genomic surveillance in Africa, a pan-African initiative to make these data accessible for research and public health.
Her presentation covered the genomic analysis of Anopheles gambiae s.l. in Côte d'Ivoire. The results point to a possible spread of insecticide resistance, no geographical isolation between Anopheles gambiae and Anopheles coluzzii, and the need for adaptive vector control strategies, particularly in central Côte d'Ivoire.
On 16 November, she presented first-author poster 7742 (session C) on the efficacy of next-generation nets in M'bé, based on an experimental hut trial and baseline molecular analysis, in collaboration with the Global Vector Hub, LSHTM and the RAFT initiative.
