About
Public health research scientist, lecturer and field entomologist based in Côte d'Ivoire.
Rosine Z. Wolie works on the biology and control of malaria vectors. She is a lecturer-researcher in the Genetics Laboratory of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Université Nangui Abrogoua in Abidjan, and an associate researcher at the Vector Control Product Evaluation Centre of the Institut Pierre Richet in Bouaké.
Since 2016 her work has moved from the field to policy. She supervised the entomological field work of a cluster-randomised trial of a lethal house lure published in The Lancet, studied whether insecticide resistance genes affect malaria transmission, and led a Gates-funded survey of resistance and species diversity across the ecological zones of Côte d'Ivoire. Within the RAFT consortium she now works on multi-centre evaluations of new insecticide-treated nets in Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon and Tanzania.
With Malaria Consortium she has contributed to studies on insecticide resistance management, arbovirus preparedness and the allocation of malaria funding. In 2025 she received an early career oral presentation award from the Society for Vector Ecology and co-chaired a session on the genetics of insecticide resistance at the ASTMH Annual Meeting.
