Genetic surveillance of malaria vectors in Côte d'Ivoire
Species diversity and insecticide resistance across six national sentinel sites and three ecological zones.
Role
- Led funding acquisition, project administration, supervision and analysis, and wrote the main publication as first author.
Research question
How do species composition and insecticide resistance in Anopheles gambiae s.l. differ between the savannah, pre-forest and forest zones of Côte d'Ivoire?
Outcome
An. gambiae dominated the savannah while An. coluzzii dominated pre-forest and forest sites, and resistance profiles differed by zone. The findings argue for zone-specific vector control.
